The weekend of 24th + 25th August, St. Anton's Church + Parish celebrate their 111th Anniversary!  There will be family activities, food and drink, on Saturday 12 noon-10pm, and a festive Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 25th August, at 9.30am (followed by an apero).  Hopefully, many of you will be there to support our host parish.

The fundraiser on Sunday, 9th June, in favour of HWO (Hope for Widows + Orphans in Congo + Rwanda) raised an incredible CHF 915.70, which is even more surprising considering it was a weekend coming after closure of the school year, when many families are already on vacation.  A reminder that HWO works with local women's organizations in Gisenyi (Rwanda) and Goma (Congo) to help orphans build a better future by financing school uniforms, supplies and meals, thus allowing them to attend school.  Many thanks to the organising group for their commitment and very hard work, and to all our parishioners who supported them and contributed to this charity.

Our next After Mass Coffees are on Sundays 7th July, and 1st, 22nd + 29th September.

A tip from the English Speaking Catholic Mission of Geneva's Newsletter!  "Pray as you go" is a daily prayer session, designed for use on portable devices, to help you pray whenever you find time, but particularly whilst travelling to and from work, study, etc.  A new prayer session is produced every day of the working week and one session for the weekend. It is not a 'Thought for the Day', a sermon or a bible-study, but rather a framework for your own prayer.  Lasting between ten and thirteen minutes, it combines music, scripture and some questions for reflection.  Our aim is to help you to:

* become more aware of God's presence in your life

*listen to and reflect on God's word

*grow in your relationship with God

It is produced by Jesuit Media Initiatives, with material written by a number of Jesuits, both in Britain and further afield, and other experts in the spirituality of St Ignatius of Loyola. Although the content is different every day, it keeps to the same basic format.  Get it on Google Play or Download on the App Store.

Summer Prayer by Jim Manney

Father, Creator of all, thank You for summer!  Thank You for the warmth of the sun and the increased daylight.  Thank You for the beauty I see all around me and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation.  Thank You for the increased time I have to be with my friends and family, and for the more casual pace of the summer season.  Draw me closer to You this summer.  Teach me how I can pray no matter where I am or what I am doing.  Warm my soul with the awareness of Your presence and light my path with Your Word and Counsel.  As I enjoy Your creation, create in me a pure heart and a hunger and a thirst for You.  Amen.
